Korea is a culturally advanced country in terms of those included by UNESCO in the international registry of World Heritage, Memory of the World, and on the Intangible Heritage lists. This fact is not well recognized among Koreans themselves, let alone foreigners. The book is designed to introduce Korea's history and traditional culture to foreigners through the fourteen items registered by UNESCO as cultural heritage. The main goal is to share this data with all humanity. These items are thought to be the ones that best represent the nation's five thousand-year history.
